Educating, Empowering and Protecting Young Girls
The Ms Dee Foundation Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Program is designed to educate and empower young girls with accurate, age-appropriate information, life skills, and positive support to help them make informed decisions about their education, health, relationships, and future.
We recognize that teenage pregnancy can create significant challenges for young people, including interruptions to education, social stigma, financial difficulties, and reduced opportunities. Our program focuses on prevention through education, mentorship, open conversations, and community involvement.
Our Key Areas of Focus
Education and Awareness
We organize educational sessions that help young girls understand the responsibilities and consequences associated with early pregnancy and the importance of making informed decisions.
Life Skills and Decision-Making
Participants are encouraged to develop confidence, communication skills, goal-setting abilities, and decision-making skills that can help them navigate challenges and plan for their future.
Mentorship and Positive Guidance
We connect young girls with responsible mentors who provide encouragement, guidance, and positive role models as they work toward their educational and personal goals.
Education Continuity
We promote the importance of staying in school and support conversations around keeping young girls engaged in education and preparing for future careers and opportunities.
Family and Community Engagement
We work with parents, guardians, teachers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to create supportive environments where young people can ask questions, receive guidance, and access appropriate services.
Support and Referral
Where young people need additional assistance, the foundation works with appropriate professionals and trusted service providers to help connect them with relevant support.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help young girls stay informed, stay empowered, remain engaged in education, and confidently work toward their future goals.
We believe that prevention begins with education, supportive families, positive mentorship, and communities that listen to and protect young people.
